Welcome to Burning Ash Protocol
Burning Ash Protocol (BAP) is a dead man's switch for digital wills. A Host stores encrypted documents and designates Survivors as beneficiaries. If the Host fails periodic liveness checks, the system triggers the Will Transfer Protocol, giving Survivors access via Shamir's Secret Sharing threshold authentication.
Key Features
- End-to-End Encryption: Documents encrypted with AES-256-GCM before leaving your server
- Shamir's Secret Sharing: Encryption keys split among survivors with K-of-N threshold
- Liveness Checks: Configurable periodic verification (HCIT/HCRT/HCRAC)
- Multi-Channel Notifications: Email (SMTP), SMS (Twilio), WhatsApp, Telegram
- Cloud Storage: Google Drive, Dropbox, S3, SFTP backends
- Dual Deploy Modes: Self-hosted (single-tenant) or SaaS (multi-tenant with Stripe billing)
